On average a farmer is killed in South Africa every 7,6 days. There were 453 farm attacks during 2019, which on average is a farm attack every 1,2 days. There were 48 farm murders in this period.
The oldest person that was attacked was 96 years old, on average there were four attackers per incident with the highest number of attackers being twenty.
