A violent and cruel farm attack took place on 5 August 2020, at about 08:00 in Kroondal, in the North West Province.
Irene Muhl (64), was violently assaulted by an unknown number of attackers and was found severely injured on the dining room floor of her farmhouse after security personnel responded to a panic alarm.
Muhl suffered a number of stab wounds to her head, body and legs and was seriously assaulted. She was stabilized and rushed by emergency services to hospital for attention.
The home was ransacked but it is unclear at this stage what was robbed. A manhunt was launched by local farmers and police but there have been no arrests.

So sad, farmers are being forced to do the job of the police in security.
This attacking of farmers is getting totally out of hand we can’t even protect ourselves because we not allowed weapons like in the 90’s because it’s been outlawed they should let us who are able and know how to handle firearms be able to buy them to protect ourselves and our families
