Port Shepstone, KwaZulu-Natal. Farm worker found dead in his room.

A farm murder has taken place in Port Shepstone, KwaZulu-Natal province. On 15 June 2019, a farm worker, Luan Preston was found murdered in his room on Davids Farm, Oslo beach. There were signs of a struggle between Luan and his attackers as the bedroom was in disarray. Luan had marks on his face and neck indicating that he was strangled by his attackers.

There were 10cm lacerations on Luan’s face and pools of blood in the bedroom. Emergency services were on the scene, there have been no arrests. There is no other information available at this stage.

Preston was an employer on the Davids Farm.

Luan had visible signs of strangulation and various lacerations. There were no signs of forced entry into the three bedroom house, which raises the possibility that the attackers might have been known to the victim.

The suspect/s fled the scene with cell phones, a laptop and a TV set with an estimated value of R20,000. No arrests were made and police are investigating.
