A violent farm attack took place at midnight on Saturday 7 December 2019, on a farm in Steyns Hoek, Bothaville, in the Free State province.
A farm worker was patrolling the sheep pens when he was overpowered by four armed black attackers. He was badly assaulted and dragged back into his home where his wife was also assaulted.
The attackers wanted to rape the woman but decided to rather strip the couple naked and tie them up with fence wire.
The attackers then cut the sheep pens fences and drove the sheep off the farm and down a gravel road where they were loaded onto a vehicle.
The woman managed to loosen herself and flee to the neighbors for assistance. They have been no arrests and there is no other information available at this stage.
