Another elderly couple and their daughter have been violently attacked in Vredenburg, in the Western Cape.
The attack took place on Wednesday 29 July 2020, at 19:00 while the family were busy getting dinner ready. Stephen Prinsloo (63), his wife Estella (61) and daughter Geraldine (36) were luckily to survive after they were told by the attackers “we have come to kill you.”
The family were assaulted and beaten across their heads with a firearm by three attackers who overpowered them in their home and demanded to know where the safe was.
Fortunately the daughter, Geraldine, managed to break free during the assault and fled to the neighbors for help. This caused the attackers to flee and most probably saved their lives.
The family have been deeply traumatized. There is no other information available at this stage. Police are investigating the attack.
