JC Roos and his wife Claudia along with their little daughter were on their way to Hartbeespoort to visit JC’s parents in law when a large piece of a concrete brick was thrown from a crossover bridge and hit him in the face.
Incidents like this are common in South Africa. Sometimes the rock thrower would then rob their victims after the car comes to a stop. If it’s safe drivers are advised quickly switch lanes when they are close to a crossover bridge.
His father posted on twitter the following warning: “Drive carefully on the road to Hartbeespoort, North West. My son looks like this after someone threw a concrete brick through the windshield of his bakkie”
